Tilapia can be cooked whole or in fillets and it is one of the most versatile fish there is. The technique we are using today for our baked tilapia recipe is an egg wash technique with flour & spices.

Ingredients:
1 pound tilapia fillets
1/3 cup of cornstarch
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp turmeric
1 large egg
¼ cup milk
1 1/4 cups Panko Bread Crumbs
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Mix cornstarch, turmeric and paprika in a shallow bowl. Whisk the egg and milk in another shallow bowl. Spread the Panko in a third shallow bowl.
3. Dip tilapia in the cornstarch. Take the now cornstarched piece and put in the egg, then press into Panko crumbs enough to adhere. Lay on baking sheet. Repeat with the remainder of the tilapia.
4. Bake fish on lower rack for 15 – 20 minutes, until internal temperature of at least 165F. This should make it fork tender and cooked through.
